Privacy Policy – AW Connector

This Privacy Policy explains how Aegis Works LLC ("Aegis Works," "we," "us") handles data accessed through the AW Connector (the "Connector"). The Connector is a private application built by Aegis Works solely to connect our own QuickBooks Online company file to our internal bookkeeping assistant. It is not offered to the public, and no outside customers or third parties use it.

What data the Connector accesses

With our authorization, the Connector accesses our own QuickBooks Online accounting data, which may include:

  • Customers and vendor records

  • Invoices and estimates

  • Payments

  • Expenses and bills

  • Time entries

  • Financial and accounting reports

The Connector does not collect data from any other QuickBooks company or from members of the public.

Why we use this data

We use this data only for internal bookkeeping purposes, such as reviewing transactions, preparing and tracking invoices and estimates, reconciling payments, categorizing expenses, and generating reports for running our business.

No selling or sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade any data accessed through the Connector. We do not share it with third parties for marketing or any other purpose. Data may be disclosed only if required by law or by a valid legal process.

How data is stored and protected

We store data and access credentials securely, using reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections to QuickBooks and restricted access to systems where data or credentials are kept. We keep data only as long as needed for our internal bookkeeping and record-keeping obligations.

Who has access

Access to the Connector and the data it retrieves is limited to Aegis Works LLC and its authorized personnel who need it for bookkeeping work.

Authorization and revoking access

The Connector connects to QuickBooks Online using Intuit's OAuth 2.0 authorization. We do not see or store QuickBooks usernames or passwords. Access can be revoked at any time by disconnecting the app in QuickBooks Online (for example, under the company's connected apps settings). Once disconnected, the Connector's access tokens stop working and it can no longer retrieve data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this page with a new effective date.
